Always give without remembering and always receive without forgetting. You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving. The simplest acts of kindness are by far more powerful than a thousand heads bowing in prayer. Real generosity toward the future lies in giving all to the present.
Throughout my career, I have been involved in the non-profit sector. Arriving into Vancouver my motive was to pass on the grace I was given by this beautiful country. My mission came into alignment upon meeting two wonderful human beings, Evan and Mackenzie in May 2021.
Heart Tattoo Society began its journey of becoming an official non-profit and through much dedication, love and hard work, in Nov. 2021, it was registered in British Columbia as a non-profit Organization. Heart Tattoo Society is now recovering over 50 tons of food and serving over 25k meals a month. As a rapidly growing organization, we need your support more than ever.

I am entrusted to oversee the entire non profit operation and take the lead on legal, finance, compliance, grant, mentorship, and the educational sector of Heart Tattoo Society.

Heart Tattoo Society

The Heart Tattoo Society is dedicated to providing approximately 25,000 meals monthly to those in need within the Downtown East Side, primarily through efficient food recovery efforts. Last year, our non-profit successfully salvaged over 50 tons of food that would have otherwise gone to waste. We greatly depend on the support of dedicated volunteers and crucial funding.

The name "2PaychequesAway" reflects the reality many people experience being just one or two pay cheques away from financial instability or crisis. Through a combination of financial education, resources, and emergency assistance, the organization aims to empower people to break the cycle of financial hardship.

At the core of 2 Paycheques Away is a commitment to provide immediate relief and long-term solutions. The organization offers free hair cuts, telling stories and education grants, budgeting tools, and personalized coaching to help people manage their finances more effectively and create a sustainable path to stability. 

The organization partners with local communities, businesses, and government programs to expand its reach and impact, helping to build a network of support for those struggling to make ends meet. By addressing both short-term needs and long-term financial health, 2 Paycheques Away.org strives to help individuals build a more secure and empowered future.

There are many misconceptions surrounding those living on the Downtown East Side (DTES). 2 Paycheques Away unlocks new perceptions of spirited and resilient individuals from the DTES by sharing their stories as told during their visit to the barber. This initiative lends a head start to those taking a next step and rebuilds bridges and relationships among Vancouverites of all walks of life.
